Lower Great Southern win Ladies Southern ILRR
The Lower Great Southern Bowling League hosted the Southern Zone I.L.R.R. Pairs at Mt Barker Golf Club on 24th & 25th November 2018.
The competition encountered some trying weather conditions on both days, but the peaceful and tranquil setting of the Mt Barker Golf Club made up for the weather conditions.
There were some close games which demonstrates the high level of competition between the Leagues in the Southern Zone. The Lower Great Southern Bowling League were the winners with 8 points and 15 rink wins, second was South East Coastal with 6 points and 11 rink wins and third was Upper Great Southern with 4 points and 10 rink wins.

The Pairs selected to represent the Southern Zone at the Inter Zone Round Robin Pairs at Northam in February 2019 were: Elaine Cooper and Beryl Cooper (Lower Great Southern), Karen Ward and Paula Reid (Great Southern), Marj Silvester and Isobel Mason (Lower Great Southern), Ronnie Lee and Maureen Herberle (Central Stirling), Marlene McGrath and Chris Coote (Upper Great Southern), Coral Grant and Margo Hawkins (South East Coastal).
