Multibowl Championships Write-Up – Midweek
Attending from Bowls WA and Wheelchair Sports WA: Joe Davey (Fremantle), Steve Murray (Scarborough), Greg Power (Guilderton)

WA has been fighting for placement at the 2015 Multibowl Championships – Triples on Sunday and Monday at the Musgrave Bowling Club on the Gold Coast saw the team go down despite a valiant effort … normally it takes a few years attending national events to see results.
The tides turned for Steve Murray from Scarborough Bowling club, paired with Kevin Yovanitch from the ACT, when he and Kevin won the 2nd Pairs B 7/8 game with a score of 13 to 6 against the NSW team of Eddie Gollan and Doug Lambert.
Side by side with the winning team was Joe Davey from Fremantle fighting out the 2nd B 5/6 singles game against Warren Fraser from QLD only going down in the final end 18 to 16 … close from beginning to end!
Greg Power from Guilderton held his own in games against Tasmanian Steve Lockey and Victorian Lucas Protopapas from Victoria – but was not on the winning end – good bowls and good attitude are going to work well for Greg in the future.
An intense few days are coming up … I look forward to reporting more … a six day Championship Multi Disability Series with completely new bowlers, who knows what may happen?
