Competitive Bowls
Competitive Bowls starts at the club
level.
Each club will run their own Championship events in which only club members can enter. Generally these include Championship Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours. In addition, clubs run a wide variety of events for their own club members and visitors from other clubs. These range from very casual to highly competitive.
Pennants is our main competition and is run by Bowls WA . This is a graded competition starting with Premier League and going to 7th Division.
In the Metropolitan area the men have Midweek Pennants (Thursday afternoons) and Saturday Pennants. The Ladies have Tuesday Pennants, Friday Night Pennants and Saturday Pennants.
Each competition is held roughly over 18 weeks. (Saturday ladies and Friday nights are less) There are approximately 10 sides in each colour of each division. The sides play off for the Pennant, promotion and pride for the clubs they belong to.
It is a fun competition that allows all people with all levels of skills to compete.
