Scott + Andersen makes Queens of Pairs
Bev Scott and Kerry Andersen take out the Women’s Over 60’s Pairs Bev Scott and Kerry Andersen again showed they are two of the best women’s players to currently play in Western Australia when they overcame the gallant Thornlie pairing of Wendy Curtis and Sandra McCutcheon in the final of the Women’s Over 60’s State Pairs.
The magnificent greens of Hilton Park allowed for quality bowls to be played in both the Semi Finals and Final. With a little bit of usual Perth breeze thrown in, the players used all their skill to put on a display to thrill the small but enthusiastic crowd. With the final going along shot for shot it was the Scott/Andersen combination who grabbed a five on the fourteenth end to set up the match winning break. With consistent bowls in the head they did not allow their opponents any opportunities to bridge the difference and ran out deserving 20-12 champions.
