Men’s Southern Zone ILRR Results
Played at Albany Bowling Club Thankyou to Lynne Danks for the following information
INTER LEAGUE ROUND ROBIN – SOUTHERN ZONE held at Albany Bowling Club in the Lower Great Southern League on Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th January, 2014.
After 2½ days of spirited competition, the local Lower Great Southern League came out winners with 4 wins out of 5 matches, 15 rink wins out of a possible 20 and a total of 430 shots for and 319 against.
Second place went to Central Stirling League (centred in Gnowangerup) with 3 wins, 11 rink wins and 55 surplus shots. Great Southern League, centred in Katanning and Wagin were third with 3 wins, 10½ rink wins and 45 extra shots.
After the presentation of the shield to the winners, the combined side to play other Zones at Jurien Bay on February 8th & 9th was announced.
The Zone President, Nick Hosking, congratulated the local League and the Albany Bowling Club for a well-run carnival.
