Binningup Bowling Club
Archers Day a huge success The Binningup Bowling Club held their annual ‘ARCHERS DAY’ recently , with bowlers from Harvey, Brunswick, Eaton and Binningup competing for the prizes.
As the Philippine disaster with its category six cyclone occurred only a couple of days earlier , an idea was put forward to the bowlers that all ‘green fees ‘ ($500) be donated to help out a little with the crisis over there.
The idea was over-whelmingly supported by those in attendance , where by, Brett Archer from Archer and Sons Funeral Directors announced he would match our generosity and donate $500 also.
The Binningup Bowling Club sincerely thanks the bowlers,both local and from neighbouring clubs for donating the $500 to the less fortunate in the Philippines , also big thanks to Brett Archer for his generosity in sponsoring our bowls event and for donating $500 to the Philippines Disaster Appeal.
