Double header action this weekend

Finals picture to become clearer A big double header for 1st Division pennants will see the finals picture become a lot clearer as teams battle for positions over Rounds 16 and 17 in what are some crucial games of bowls.
In Premier League the action will begin on Friday Night with a Round 17 clash of 6th placed Bassendean hosting 5th placed Doubleview. The winner will give themselves a chance of finals action whilst the loser will certainly be out of the race.
The rink draw for this match which begins at 6.30pm is as follows (Bassendean skips named first)

Opie v Bainbridge
Patterson v Slavich
Staples v Rankin
 
Saturday will see Round 16 action with likely demotion candidates Cockburn v Wanneroo getting a last shot at survival, Victoria Park v Kardinya with Vict. Park looking to cement top spot, Doubleview v Manning with the home side needing a win for a chance at the finals, Osborne Park v Stirling crucial to playoff positions and South Perth v Bassendean.
 
Then on Sunday we have another important four games, matches will begin at 10am. Manning v Kardinya and Osborne Park v Victoria Park Carlisle looking a strong possibility of how the finals action will line up and crucial games for the finishing positions and the all important second spot. Stirling v Cockburn and Wanneroo v South Perth are surely last roll of the dice games for Cockburn and Wanneroo for Premier League survival.
