Winter Pennants 2014
Registrations open for clubs to enter Following a very positive response from competing clubs in 2012 and 2013, Bowls WA now calls for Expressions of Interest from clubs interested in nominating a side for Winter Pennants in 2014.
Registrations will close April 29th.
The format of the competition will be as follows:
Format
Triples: Two (2) bowls per player
Teams: Three (3) teams of Three (3) = Nine (9) players per side
Ends: 17
Time of Matches:
Report at 9.15am for a 9.30am start
Trial ends will commence at 9.30am
Completion: Matches must be completed by 12.15pm
Venue
All sides in a Region will play at a single venue each week. This will be shared on a round robin basis between competing clubs.
A competing club will therefore be required to supply twelve (12) rinks for their respective “home” fixture.
Entry Fee
$150.00 (incl GST) per club (payable prior to season commencement).
Teams
It is hoped that Eight (8) teams will be accepted per Region (South Coastal, Southern, Eastern and Northern) in order to minimize travel, on a first come basis.
Selected sides may be male, female or mixed. Although it will not be a “rule” it is envisaged that only one (1) first division player per rink will be permitted.
Season
Given a full compliment of teams the season will comprise eight fixtures, with each competing team having a “home” fixture. There will be NO finals.
Prizemoney
Prizemoney will be paid out from the Entry Fees per Region being:
1st $500.00
2nd $250.00
3rd/4th $125.00

It is anticipated the season will be as follows:
Round 1 Sunday 18th May
Round 2 Sunday 25th May
Round 3 Sunday 1st June
Round 4 Sunday 8th June
Round 5 Sunday 15th June
Round 6 Sunday 22nd June
Round 7 Sunday 29th June
Round 8 Sunday 6th July
