Three-time International Bowler of the Year and 2010 Australian Open singles champion Aron Sherriff has announced he is to change his ‘tools of trade’ and join forces with Bowls Australia’s Official Preferred Bowls Supplier, Aero Bowls and will bowl with Aero for the next five years. From Ettalong Memorial, Sherriff, 28, is widely regarded as one of the world’s best bowlers and in making this switch, ends a long and successful partnership with Greenmaster for which he is most appreciative. “I’ve spent the past 13 years with Greenmaster and all the team there led by Paul Harper have been outstanding in their support of me throughout my career and I can’t thank them enough,” Sherriff said. “I’ve had some fantastic results over those 13 years but I felt the time had arrived to change manufacturer and I’m thrilled to be joining the Aero Bowls team who are such great supporters and sponsors of the sport here in Australia.” Sherriff joins fellow Australian Jackaroo team mates Brett Wilkie, Barrie Lester and Claire Turley as Aero Bowls ambassadors along with 2006 Commonwealth Games singles gold medallist Kelvin Kerkow OAM. Aero Bowls CEO Walter Jacobs is delighted to have been able to secure a another brand ambassador to the calibre of Sherriff. “We’re very pleased that Aron chose Aero. He is a credit to the sport and a great example of what a bowler can achieve with dedication,” Jacobs said. Photo: Team Aero ambassadors Kelvin Kerkow, Aron Sherriff and Brett Wilkie
