Women’s Over 60’s Singles Day 2 Results
Semi Final and Final tomorrow at Osborne Park The 2013-14 champion Rinske Butcher was defeated in the opening knock out round today at Osborne Park in the Women’s Over 60’s State Pairs as the event was played down to the semi-final stage.
Manning’s Sue Hogg who recently bought home the National Sides Series as the Over 60’s Women’s Manager was able to up stage one of her star players in the round of 16 however she was then defeated herself by Thornlie’s Maureen Cooney who won in a thrilling contest 21-20. It was the second successive 21-20 win for Cooney after defeating Toni Gatti also from Manning in the previous round.
The other players to advance to the semi-finals are Janne Gibsonne (Mosman Park), Angela Sharp (Gosnells) and Kathy Gobbart (Gingin).
