Volunteers needed at Yokine With the BCiB Pennant Season just completed attention now turns to the Australian Sides Series to be held at Yokine Bowling Club from April 9th to 12th.
Volunteers needed for Master Scoreboard
Bowls WA is calling for Volunteers who may be able to assist with Master Scoreboards for the event – a minimum of eight volunteers are needed for the 7 rounds of play which runs from April 9th to 12th. Note: April 12th is AM only. Please email Bowls WA at enquiries@bowlswa.com.au and include which dates you will are available and also AM/PM as a preferred timeslot if necessary. All volunteers will have lunch provided at no charge and of course will have a perfect view of all the bowls action.
Bowls talent on display
The cream of Australian bowls talent will be on display with household names in bowls circles such as Aron Sheriff, Mark Casey, Nathan Rice, Brett Wilkie, Matthew Flapper, Aaron Wilson, Dylan Fisher, Karen Murphy, Kelsey Cottrell, Lynsey Clarke and Carla Odgers just to name a few all involved for their various states.
With home ground advantage the WA teams will be looking to put their best foot forward. WA skip Matthew Ellul was in outstanding form in the pennant finals for Manning and he will be looking to guide the Men’s team along with fellow skippers Thomas Mitchell and Clive Adams to plenty of wins. Likewise the Women’s team will have plenty of chances to impress what is expected to be a very parochial home crowd when action gets underway – the WA Women’s skippers are Therese Hastings. Lisa Featherby and Krstina Krstic.
Yokine Bowling Club will have a terrific setup for watching all the action with a supporters marquee along with plenty of food and drink stations through out the venue. There is no entry fee and everyone is welcome to attend.
