Paul Foster joins Aero Bowls’ stable of stars
Bowls Australia’s preferred bowls manufacturer, Aero Bowls, have today unveiled another highly prized Scottish world beater as part of their stable of stars.
On the back of January’s announcement that the man widely regarded as the best bowler in the world, Alex Marshall MBE had converted to Aero Bowls, comes further cause for celebration for the Australian-made bowls brand, with Marshall’s partner in crime, Paul Foster MBE today inking a deal that will see him also join the Aero Bowls team.
Foster, who regularly partners Marshall to glory, including in their recent Commonwealth Games pairs gold medal win, boasts an impressive fifteen World Bowls titles and eleven PBA and World Bowls Tour indoor and outdoor titles to his name, in addition to three Commonwealth Games gold medals.
Chief Executive Officer of AeroBowls UK Ellen Falkner said it was a huge coup to secure the services of Foster.
“We are delighted and excited to have Paul on our team,” Falkner said.
“He is an exceptional player and amazing talent who has achieved wonderful things in our sport and we are proud to have him associated with our brand.”
Foster was equally as enthusiastic about transitioning to the Aero Bowls brand, and identified the company’s new Z Scoop grip as a factor in his reason to move.
“Aero are new and different and I wanted to be a part of that,” Foster said.
“The timing was right for me to make a move and it will freshen up my game and give me renewed focus and energy.
“I’m really looking forward to getting playing with the bowls and I love how the new Z Scoop grip feels in the hand.
“I have played against a number of players playing with AeroBowls and have been impressed with the line they take and how they react with weight.
“Its also comforting for me to know that when I have to switch between sets of bowls of the same model that the bowls will be exactly the same.”
