Jack if it’s a boy… and Kitty if it’s a girl
Australian Jackaroos captain Lynsey Clarke is to become a mum, Terry Wilson reports in ‘Pure Gold’ for the Gold Coast Bulletin .
The Helensvale club ace has confirmed she and husband Brad are set to welcome their first baby late in October.
Naturally the arrival will eat into Clarke’s time on the greens but she intends to play the national selection trials, then the Australian Open, at Broadbeach in June.
She will miss the Gold Coast Hawks’ assault on the Australian Premier League in November.
Lynsey and Brad are considering names for their new child, so Pure Gold suggested Jack for a boy and Kitty for a girl.
“We are considering names but I really don’t think Jack and Kitty are up there although one of the Australian squad players Anne Johns called her first son Jack,” Lynsey said.
The pair met at the 2010 Australian Open played in Shepparton, Victoria, and have been married for two years now.
Brad moved to the Gold Coast and proved himself a handy performer on the greens, featuring in Helensvale’s march to the Premier League Queensland title playing lead for Brett Wilkie’s four in the grand final.
“The boys have dubbed him Clarke 1 and I’ve been demoted to Clarke 2 – but that’s OK,” Lynsey said.
