BCiB Pennants Round 4 The season heated up this week in more ways than one with the Women’s Saturday competition cancelled due to heat. Some critical early games were played and some teams were able to stand up better than others. Some big wins were recorded whilst many rinks throughout the competition were as tight as you could get, finishing in draws.
The biggest aggregate came from 5th Division again this week. In the Blue color North Perth defeated Innaloo by 60 shots. Considering that 5th Division only has three rinks there has been a couple of monumental efforts to have some big wins so far this season. Another side deserving enormous credit is Bayswater’s 6th Division Blue team who racked up a 56 shot win over Maylands. As 6th division is only two rinks the average winning margin per rink was 28 shots, the equivalent of a 112 shot victory in four rink competition.
The biggest rink win also came from 5th Division Blue this week. The Hollywood-Subiaco team of Bridges, Beswick, Ward and Duncan who ran out 41 shot winners in their match against Lake Monger. The Hollywood-Subi boys fell just shy of the magical 50 mark in their win 47-6 against their cross town rivals
This week’s tightest division was 1st Division Blue North. The division’s biggest win was Warwick’s win over Mt Lawley by eighteen shots with the four other matches all decided by single digit margins.
