Women’s IRRR Fours Results
played at Gosnells Bowling Club April 9th & 10th The Women’s Inter Region Round Robin Fours was completed over the weekend April 9th and 10th hosted by the Southern Region and played at Gosnells Bowling Club. This event is unique in that players are selected on a points basis dependant on which division they are playing in pennant competition and as such players of various ability play together for their respective region.
Despite very difficult conditions with persistent rain and very strong winds all players produced some good bowls under trying circumstances. As usual the competition was played in terrific spirits with the final result in doubt until the last match was completed.
The host region came out on top when the points where counted up with the final results as follows:
Women’s IRRR Fours Results: 1st Southern 310, 2nd South Coastal 293, 3rd Northern 292, 4th Eastern 289.
Each region selected 8 players to be All Stars Representatives with further matches played on Sunday afternoon. Northern region (pictured in main photo) were declared the All stars winners.
Women’s IRRR All Stars results were 1st Northern 41 2nd Southern 35, 3rd South Coastal 33, 4th Eastern 28.
Bowls WA Vice President Kerry Andersen presented the winners with their medals.
