Internations raise the bar for charity

$13,000 raised at the carnival The 38th Internations Carnival was very successfully run on April 30th and 1st of May at the Thornlie Bowling club with great weather a blessing making it a wonderful two days of bowls..
As usual the carnival was wonderfully supported by many in the bowling fraternity representing a variety of countries each decked out in representative uniforms and played with great passion and friendly rivalry all in the name of charity.
The Thornlie Bowling Club once again raising the bar on how to gain sponsorship for the event and providing a variety of refreshments through the four different nationality  food stalls for each day. In total the Thornlie hosted Internations Carnivals of 2015 ($10,000) and 2016 ($13,000) have raised $23,000 of which the proceeds go to the Princess Margaret Childrens Hospital to keep West Australian kids in need.
In a very close competition it came down to the last round of play when Australia (pictured above) produced the goods to continue there recent dominance in winning the event.
The full results were as follows; Australia 1st, Rest of the World 2nd, England 3rd, Croatia 4th, Ireland 5th, New Zealand 6th, Italy 7th and Scotland 8th.
