Second RBM in WA

Shenayde Heldt Following a review of the Regional Bowls Manager program a decision was made to provide a second RBM to WA, this was certainly welcomed by Bowls WA who will also work with the RBM’s in providing support to clubs through Western Australia. The announcement has just been made by Bowls Australia that well known Manning bowler 24yo Shenayde Heldt will fill that role.
Shenayde has been a WA State Lawn Bowls Representative since 2006 and is currently in the WA State Women’s Team.  She is also an accredited Bowls Australia Coach.  Shenayde currently works as a Child Protection Worker with the Department of Child Protection and Family Support in WA. Shenayde will officially commence in the role from June 27th with induction and training in Melbourne after which she then will begin to work directly with clubs.
Shenayde who will primarily concentrate on clubs south of the river will work with the Clive Adams who will continue in his role but with a focus more on north of the river clubs. Adams was recently appointed as a Team Leader in the RBM program and has been achieving some terrific results with WA clubs in only a short period of time.
The RBM’s role is to assist clubs with a focus in the following areas: 
• Increasing participation and membership within the sport of bowls 
• Providing support with business planning through: 
    – Member recruitment/retention
    – Governance and business/strategic planning 
    – Funding and grant submissions 
    – Targeted programs for under-represented groups 
    – Information technology and volunteer strategies
    – Implementing whole-of-sport programs delivered at club level 
    – Accurate recording of local membership and participation data
    – Increasing the quantity and quality of coaches and officials
