Claremont to the fore
Round 9 in review This week was one of the tightest weeks of the season with lots of close games and hardly any blowouts, especially in men’s pennants. Still some sides managed to break away to get on this big win list and will be enjoying the Xmas break just a bit more than others.
Men’s Saturday Competition
The biggest aggregate win this week by quite a way was Claremont’s top side. The 3rd Division team were clinical in their 90 shot win with every rink scoring over 30 shots to rack up a total of 135. The biggest rink win in that game was 42-6 by Mark Lindsay. However that wasn’t good enough to even be the division’s biggest rink margin. In the very same colour, 3rd Division Red, Fremantle’s Keith Bowden won 45-5 to be the best rink competition wide. The rink was instrumental in Fremantle’s 34 shot win over Mt Pleasant.

This Tuesday’s biggest aggregate win came unusually from 1st Division Pennants. Safety Bay Recorded a 64 shot win over Melville in 1st Division White to be the biggest winner’s this round. The win included a big 29 shot win by Irene Arndt which was the equal competition best for this week as well. The other rink to win by 29 came from Premier League where Kathy Gobbart won 36-7.
