New Members Survey results
Bowls WA recently completed a survey sent to a any new bowling members with over 200 responses collated.
The strong level of response provided some useful information, a summary of which is as follows:
81.2% of respondents were aged over 50. Only 13.5% were 30-50 years old.
Family/Friends and social bowls events (Barefoot & Community Bowls) 86.7% are the primary factors behind attracting new members.
The social environment of bowls is appealing to new members at 86%.
18% of clubs did not have a club coach and 15% were not happy with coaching provided.
2-3 hours is the preferred length of game at 55% with fours 50% and pairs 28% preferred format.
Less than 40% of new members want a 15-18 week pennant season.
Club communication is rated better than Good with Bowls WA communication Average to Good.
Bowls Premier League was only watched by 25% of new members.
99.5% would recommend bowls to friends and/or family.
