Wanneroo’s 3rd Division Gold side saved their best until last with the biggest aggregate and rink win of the round. The aggregate in particular is one of the biggest we saw this year as they put on a comprehensive display. Their 104 shot margin was bigger than the score of most other sides as they finished the regular season in style with all rinks winning.
Three of those rinks won by double digits and two had margins that topped the 30 mark to blow the score out to 143-39. Overall Steve Denny and his rink were the best of the lot with a 46-7 win. The side also had the week’s second biggest win with Paul Knight’s 43-6 win. The eight points kept them on top with the Roos having gone into the round as part of a three way tie for first. They will now get the opportunity to play for promotion this weekend.
Wanneroo also had the third biggest rink win in the competition this week with 36 shot win in one of its 6th Division Blue sides. Bevan Holman’s 43-7 win was the best in 6th Division and guided Wanneroo 2 to another 6th Division best 44 shot aggregate win.
