Men’s Over 60’s Pairs Day 2 Results
The Bowls WA Men’s Over 60’s Pairs has now progressed to the final day of play after three knockout rounds were completed today at Manning and Osborne Park Bowling Clubs..
Progressing to the semi-finals were Ken Boswell and Laurie Johnson (Wanneroo) who snuck through with tight wins against good opposition in Ross Bolton 12-10 and Chris Lander 12-11. Their opponents will be previous Over 60’s Triples champions Frank Carbone and Glyn Vaughan who were in great form late in the day progressing 22-5 over Ron Kuziela.
The other semi-final will see a surprise with the Leeming pair of Tom Mathein and Garry Sims who beat Keith Guelfi 15-12 to set up a clash against perhaps the most impressive of the teams today in Jim Barry and Bruce Eagles who capped a good day of bowls with a 21-5 win over Ken Nadilo.
Finals will be played tomorrow starting from 9.30am at Doubleview Bowling Club.
