Bunbury Increases Accessibility

Hon Mick Murray MLA – Minister for Seniors and Ageing; Volunteering; Sport and Recreation – recently released a Media Statement on the opening of a new Accessible Bowling Green at Bunbury Bowling Club.

In addition to the new green itself, Bunbury modified club access to include an automatic door, ramps to the bowling greens, and leveling of outside paving areas with new fencing and gates – all wheelchair friendly modifications as an encouragement to participate in a sport that is intended for ALL people in a community.

Congratulations to Bunbury Bowling Club on their initiative in expanding participation in our sport of Lawn Bowls.  A core group of users are players from WA iSports who come to the club every Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm until December 7th for Term 4 of 2018:
