Perth Suns unchanged for BPL09

by Aaron Delaporte on December 5, 2018

Bowls WA is pleased to announce an unchanged line-up to the Perth Suns who will venture to Naenae Bowling Club in Lower Hutt New Zealand for the ninth edition of the Bowls Premier League from February 25-28 2019.

Once again the Perth Suns will be supported by Blooms the Chemist and Dyenamic Bowls Uniforms as sponsors for the team.

In one of the closest editions of the BPL the Suns played outstanding bowls to make the finals for just their third time in competition history. The WA based side of John Slavich (Doubleview), Shane Knott (Manning) and Krstina Krstic (Manning) played superbly and combined brilliantly as they took on the best players in Australia and around the world.

Bowls WA CEO Ken Pride said “The Board felt it only appropriate to offer the players another opportunity given their great performance last competition. The team represented the Perth Suns professionally both on and off the green and we are delighted they have accepted to play another series.”

The Perth Suns have also retained coach Pieter Harris who was confident the team could again make finals, he said “After making the finals in BPL 08 it is great to see to see the same team getting the chance to do it again for BPL 09 at Naenae Bowling Club.

Kristina, John and Shane worked so well together I have no doubt they will again take it up to many of the best players in the world and give themselves every chance of making the finals.”
