BPL Star Krstic Shows Strong Form in 100 Up

The Women’s State 100 Up Singles championship was completed at on Thursday with the final played between two players who are no strangers to singles titles. 

Two time State Singles winner Kristina Krstic took on four time Singles and 5 time 100 up champion Therese Hastings in a classic master vs apprentice battle at Osborne Park.

It was Krstic who prevailed 103-87 in the race to 100, scored with a 4-3-2-1 system.

The first half of the game couldn’t have been any tighter with the combatants tied at 50 all.

Finally though it was Krstic who was able to get a run on to be build up a lead.

She scored a seven, an eight, a ten and a six consecutively to get a 20 shot break late in the game.

With the score at 81-59 time was running out for Hastings who was in desperate need of a couple of big counts to get back in it.

She was able to steady and pick up two sixes in three ends but Krstic scoring as well it just wasn’t enough.

Krstic only needed three on the next end and got six to wrap up the match at 103-87.

This win is Krstic’s first 100 up and leaves her with just the fours left to get to complete the set of women’s events.

Fans of the Perth Suns will be glad to see Krstic in such good form with the next BPL just four days away.
