Academy Coach selected
The first key appointment in the new Bowls WA High Performance structure has been confirmed, with Open and Over 60s state player Linda Warburton accepting the important role of Academy Coach.
The position will work closely with the Talent Development Coordinator and the yet to be appointed state selection panel chairperson and open state team coaches to provide a program to fast track future high performance players to the next level.
The new program will focus on efficiencies in key appointments with the Nationals set to incorporate a number of Bowls Australia’s high performance events over a two week block.
The role attracted excellent candidates as the Association looks to re-build the High Performance area with the advent of the Bowls Australia “Nationals” set for October 2020.
