16th November Saturday Pennant Information Regarding Weather

WOMEN’S SATURDAY PENNANT 16TH NOVEMBER

As per the relevant Women’s Pennant Procedures outlined below, Round 3 of the Women’s Saturday Pennant due to be played on Saturday 16th November has been cancelled based on the latest BOM forecast of 38° C

PROCEDURE IN EXTREME WEATHER

General Abandonment- Heat

(i)            If the temperature forecast is 38° C or over all pennant games shall be cancelled at 5.00pm the day before the scheduled pennant fixture.

 

MEN’S SATURDAY PENNANT 9TH NOVEMBER

Round 3 of the Men’s Saturday Pennant due to be played on Saturday 16th November has Not been cancelled and Umpires should consult the BWA Handbook for complete procedures.

PROCEDURE IN EXTREME WEATHER

13.2      Individual Club Abandonment/Interrupted Games

(ii)    Any game not commenced by 2.45pm (Saturday Pennant Only), shall be treated as abandoned in accordance with Metropolitan Pennant Competition General Conditions of Play.

Should the temperature reach 40 C, then the umpire of the day is to review the prevailing conditions and defer play in accordance with Metropolitan Pennant Competition General Conditions

(v)   A count of completed ends should be made to determine if the required number of ends to constitute a game have been completed.
