Great Southern win SZ Ladies ILRR Fours
It one of the tightest finishes ever the Great Southern League have emerged victorious in the Southern Zone Ladies Inter League Round Robin sponsored by Landmark held at Kulin Bowling Club last weekend.
The final result came down to rink wins and shots up after four of the six competing leagues had three wins in their five matches. Great Southern recorded a one shot victory in the last match over Upper Great Southern which was courtesy of the Jenny Hosking skipped side winning 23-7. That rink win saw them finish with 12 rinks for the competition and a margin of +55 which gave them the title ahead of South East Coastal who looked to have the title wrapped up before dropping the last two matches against Central Stirling and South Central Arunga. Lower Great Southern finished in third spot after a 13 shot win in their last match.
Congratulations to all the players selected to represent the Zone in the Inter Zone Round Robin April 4-5th at Emu Point and the Country v Metro March 22nd at a venue to be announced.
