Covid-19 restrictions eased for roll-ups

by Aaron Delaporte on April 27, 2020

The West Australian Premier Mark McGowan has announced the easing of restrictions for indoor and outdoor gatherings in WA.

As of Monday 27th April up to ten (10) people will be permitted to gather indoors or outdoors on the proviso that strict social distancing continues to be practiced. Given this, Bowls WA advises that it will now support the use of Greens given the required restrictions and health requirements such as social distancing are maintained.

Individual clubs will be responsible for regulating the use of their greens and control of members within the advised framework.

Note that nationally agreed, specific recommendations on the use of Greens are included in a Bowls Australia release from CEO Neil Dalrymple  – Bowls WA fully supports those requirements.

Read that release from Bowls Australia here – https://www.bowlswa.com.au/2020/04/27/bowls-australias-covid-19-advice/

It is imperative that clubs introduce, follow and police these strict guidelines if greens are to be opened.
