Packer duo crowned Masters Champions

Following the completion of the rescheduled Doubleview Men’s Masters Fours earlier this month Bowls WA was recently able to present the Dyenamic Masters Champion awards to the husband and wife duo of Cody and Hailey Packer.

The Dyenamic Masters Champions each receive $1,000 prizemoney plus a set of Aero Bowls, along with an Aero bowls bag and shoes, with the winners decided on points gained for results across the series for the 2019-20 season. A big thank you to the generous support of Dyenamic Sublimation and Aero Bowls World Perth for supplying the prizes.

Hailey and Cody began the season by combining with Helen and Aj Heal to win the Mixed Masters Fours back in September 2019 and they continued their good form throughout the year. Hailey won the North Beach Women’s Pairs and was runner-up in the Mosman Park Women’s Singles whilst Cody won the Bassendean Men’s Singles and the recent Men’s Fours along with a runner-up finish in the Doubleview Men’s Pairs.

After they both finished as runner-ups to the inaugural Masters Champions behind Helen Morss and John Slavich in 2018-19 the Packers were thrilled to claim the champions title. “Aero sponsor both of us so to win this title playing with their bowls is perhaps fitting. We both love to play in the Masters events because the competition is always great from the first bowl to the last. We are definitely looking forward to playing more Masters Events this season.”

Aero Bowls World and Dyenamic have both confirmed their continued sponsorship of the Masters Series which has already had one event played this year in the Sorrento Mixed Masters Fours. The entries for the Bassendean Men’s Masters Triples will be open shortly and in a change from the original schedule Manning Bowling Club will host the Men’s Masters Singles which will take place in December.
