Bowls WA policy on COVID-19 vaccinations

by Aaron Delaporte on November 22, 2021

Following queries from some members, the Board would like to confirm its policy on the COVID-19 vaccination of bowling members.

As has been the policy from the start of the pandemic, the Board has followed and supported the advice provided by the State Government and relevant health authorities.

This will continue to be the case.

Therefore, the Board of Bowls WA strongly supports the Government’s call for community double vaccination as soon as possible, however at this time this will not be a mandatory requirement to play in pennant and other events under the control of Bowls WA.

Further advice will be provided following Government announcements on the attainment of 80% community double vaccination in the coming weeks.

However, clubs must adhere to the Government stipulation that club employees (restaurant, pub, bar or café workers) must have their first vaccination by 31st December and be fully vaccinated by 31st January or risk significant individual and/or club fines.
