Bowls Heroes – Calvin Rodgers

Bowls Ambassador Brad Hogg heads out to the home of the Vision Impaired and Blind Bowlers Association (VIBBA) WA home base at Perth & Tattersalls Bowling Club to have a game with Calvin Rodgers. Calvin has been selected to trial for the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, UK. Calvin is a B2 classified vision impaired bowler with less than 10% vision. He lost his sight in a motor vehicle accident at 21 years old and has developed into an exceptional bowler having won Gold medals at the recent VIBBA National Championships. Calvin is currently fighting bowel cancel and is proving that a positive outlook can overcome any obstacle.
