Applications for the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) 2022/23 Small Grant submissions have now opened.

CSRFF aims to increase physical activity and participation in sport and active recreation in Western Australia. The type of projects which will be considered for funding include:
- New playing surfaces — ovals, courts, synthetic surfaces etc.
- Floodlighting projects (must be to Australian Standards)
- Change rooms and ablutions
- Sports storage
SMALL GRANTS
Total project cost up to $300,000
The CSRFF small grants program targets projects involving a basic level of planning. The total project cost for grant must not exceed $300,000. Grants given in this category must be claimed in the financial year following the date of approval. For projects with a grant request below $2500 it is expected that the applicant should be able to fully fund these.
Examples of small grant projects:
- cricket pitch and practice wickets
- safety upgrades for sport and recreation facilities
- minor upgrades to a swimming pool
- small floodlighting project
- court upgrade
- construction of shade shelters
- planning studies (e.g. local government wide facilities plans, precinct master planning) to a maximum grant amount of $25,000. Note individual facility planning is considered a very low priority.
