Krstic claims Masters Singles

by Aaron Delaporte on February 16, 2022

The True North Ladies Masters Singles, part of the Dyenamic Masters Series, was held in warm humid condition over the weekend at the Mosman Park Bowling Club with a full entry of 64 players. Initial rounds saw some great match ups and some very close games. Amanda Masters getting over Linda Warburton and Julie Watson over Pauline Bourne both with scores of 21-20, were just two examples.

With eight players progressing to finals day the quarter finals saw four cracking games. Laura Merz, Hailey Packer, Kristina Krstic and Chris Ace-Watson progressed, with Kristina fighting back against Therese Hastings to get there 21-17.

Hailey played Chris Ace Watson in the first semi with a close result 25-21, and Kristina played Laura. Again another good fight back from Kristina to get over the line with a game played in two halves the score being 25-22.

The all Manning  final was always going to be a great game. The current State Singles winner versus our Australian Representative, both in great form. Some exceptional bowls played that could have gone either way. Kristina found her rhythm and got over the line 25/20.

Thankyou to first time sponsor True North for their support along with all the players and Mosman Park members who contributed to other successful Masters Singles.
