New RBM for Southern WA

by Aaron Delaporte on February 16, 2022

Following the retirement of Steven Unsworth Bowls Australia and Bowls WA are pleased to introduce Troy Kinnane as the new Regional Bowls Manager (RBM) for Southern WA.

Troy has had a significant working history in the finance industry including running his own business and will bring a lifetime of experience into the role along with his clear passion to support clubs and the sport of bowls.

“I have been involved in lawn bowls for over 15 years and truly love the sport and the club environment. The camaraderie that is shared from club to club, the friendships that are formed and the diverse range of people that play our great game is something special.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work closely with the broader bowls community and look forward using the skills I have developed professionally over the last 30 years to assist in the continued development of lawn bowls in WA” said Troy

The role of an RBM is significant, specializing in assisting clubs to develop and remain healthy on and off the green. The position provides clubs with an avenue to get face to face help across a number of areas particularly in Club Development including Grants and Sponsorship and through Bowls Australia programs such as Jack Attack, Rookie Rollers and Sporting Schools. They can also assist with Bowls Link, Membership and Officials (Coaches and Umpires) development and much more.

Bowls WA looks forward to seeing Troy out and about talking to clubs south of the river in Perth and across South West and Southern WA in the country.

We encourage clubs to reach out to Troy in the near future should they require any assistance.
