Packer and East win Masters Pairs
The class of Cody Packer combined with the emerging talent of Jack East yesterday afternoon in the final of $7,000 Hart and Co Men’s Masters Pairs at Doubleview Bowling Club as they combined for a simply superb win in the final. The Osborne Park pairing never gave their rivals a chance winning the final 22-5.
Runners-up Will Hyatt (Manning) and Kristian Carr (Goomalling) can hold their heads high despite the margin in the final after what was an excellent tournament for them defeating many quality sides along the way such as Matt Mitchell and Peter Kerr, Daniel Trewhella and Shane Loftus, Shane Knott and Warren Holt and Kyle McIlroy and Dave Rankin in the semi-final 17-15.
The other semi-finalist was previous winners John Slavich and Justin Opie was also succumbed to the Packer/East combo.
