Men’s Country v Metro cancelled
Following the release of the latest State Government Level 2 restrictions which come into effect this Thursday, the annual Country All Stars vs Metropolitan match has been cancelled.
The restrictions which include no spectators for outdoor Community Sport and a limit of 150 people (with the 2sqm rule) at clubs made it very difficult for Osborne Park to host their Welcome Fours and Pennant matches in addition to the All Stars game.
This would have required the vacating of the club at 6.00pm for the All Stars game to commence given the no spectators requirement, as would be the case at any metropolitan club.
This decision will NOT AFFECT Country Week, although players should note the restrictions on spectators at venues.
