Australian Championships 2021 WA Preview

The time has finally come for the Champions for each State for 2021 to come face to face after a year long wait due to the everchanging beast that has been Covid-19. NSW are noticeably absent from this years event due to Covid-19 preventing their events from being run.

Set to take place Tuesday 26th April 2022 – Friday 29th April 2022 at Broachbeach Bowls Club the event looks to produced some thrilling matchups.

Cambridge’s Blake Nairn will be one of the hot favourites coming into the event after having a phenomenal season capped off by multiple state titles and strong pennant form.

The pairing of Greg Taylor and Bruce Eagles were the 2021 Pairs Champions, unfortunately due to personal reasons and the uncertainty of Covid-19 at the beginning of the year when players had to register their participation, Bruce Eagles will not be able to compete. Jack East will sub in for Bruce and is sure to do Bruce and the State proud.
