Entries for the 2021/2022 Bowls WA Awards have now closed with judges set a difficult task in selecting this year’s worthy recipients.

Seven clubs have been announced as finalists for the prestigious Metropolitan Club of the Year, with five of those also in the running for Metro Small Club of the Year, given they have 125 or less members with playing rights.

The Jim Murray Country Club of the Year will be fought out by Brookton, Leeman, Gingin and Merredin after each has had a strong year on and off the green with solid representations at various events and a number of infrastructure projects completed.

The important Volunteer of the Year will see a record seven excellent club stalwarts in contention with a further four entries for the newly minted Club Official of the Year as submitted by their home club.

With player awards coming down to the wire with a final two events to be played in May, the evening again promises to be celebration of the 2021/2022 season.

To again be staged at the Royal Perth Golf Club on the evening of Friday 3rd June, limited tickets are now available from Bowls WA for $120.00pp which will include a three-course dinner, with beer, wine and soft drink included.
