Men’s Masters Singles draw released

Fifty two players will head to Mt Lawley Bowling Club as the Dynamic Men’s Masters Singles returns at a new home. Mt Lawley will showcase their new synthetic greens along with some fabulous lighting with play to begin on Friday 20th May in the afternoon with sections 1-10 in action. The last round and two alignment games will be under the lights installed by competition sponsor Stiles Electrical Services. Stiles are most notable for their lighting on the Matagarup Bridge and Elizabeth Quay as one of Perth’s best electrical service business’s.

Sections 11-18 will play on Saturday 21st May before a big finals day on Sunday 22nd May where the 16 remaining players will battle it out before a champion is crowned later that evening. The winner will also earn valuable Australian Ranking Points plus Rosenthal medal points as the last event on the WA bowls calendar.

Former Masters Singles winners in this event include Shane Knott and David Opie whilst recent Australian Singles champion Blake Nairn will be looking to continue his hot form. The Australian Fours champions Paul Sinden and Anthony Einfeld will no doubt have the local support whilst last weeks Champion of Club Champions Singles finalist Matthew Mitchell and Warren Holt will be in a first up rematch in section 16. Others to watch include state champions John Slavich, Justin Opie, Glen Pauling and Cameron Harris.

Meals available at Mt Lawley during each day of play with supporters welcome.
