Perth Suns go local

by Aaron Delaporte on September 12, 2022

The Perth Suns have returned to an all “local” West Australian side for BPL 16.

The Bowls Premier League will again be played at Club Pine Rivers in Brisbane from 7-11 November with an all-star cast of players.

The Perth Suns have retained Jackaroo Cody Packer, Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist Kristina Krstic and Coach Pieter Harris for the event, with the current Australian Singles champion Blake Nairn joining the side for the first time.

We say “local” although Blake has moved to Melbourne for the coming pennant season, but has retained his Cambridge Bowling Club membership until after The Nationals and WA duties next month.

The experience of Packer and Krstic and the natural flair of Nairn augers well for a successful attack by the Suns in seeking their first BPL title.
