Perth Suns looking to heat up BPL16

by Aaron Delaporte on November 4, 2022

The Perth Suns are set to once again take on the best bowlers on the planet as they gear up for another edition of the Bowls Premier League at Club Pine Rivers in Queensland from November 7-11, 2022.

The Suns have made one change to their line-up with back to back WA Bowler of the Year and Australian Singles Championship winner Blake Nairn joining the team replacing Dawn Hayman.

Blake is a player whose bowls skills look ideally suited to the short format high octane event. He has a very powerful and accurate drive and loves to play big shots so he is sure to make an impact on this event. A player who wears his heart on his sleeve and not afraid to show his emotions whether the team is winning or losing you know Blake is giving it 100% and more.

He will be of course joined by the ever reliable WA duo of Cody Packer and Kristina Krstic who have cemented themselves amongst the best in WA over recent years. Kristina is probably still buzzing after claiming a Commonwealth Games Gold Medal in August and always brings a smile and plenty of good bowls to the green. Cody Packer is an extremely reliable player who has shown he can mix it with the best and can play any position and any shot required.

Former Sun and WA State Rep of over 200 games Pieter Harris will take the reins as coach once again.

The Perth Suns will be featured in several rounds of Rinkside Live and also Live on Foxtel and Kayo.
