In April 2023 the World Transplant Games will be staged in Perth. The Games celebrate a second chance of life, demonstrating the success of transplant surgery and promoting the need to raise public awareness of organ and tissue donation.

This will be the 24th World Transplant Games seeing over 2,000 athletes from 60 countries around the world come together to compete in 17 different sports over 7 days, to celebrate life, through sport.

Out of 17 Sports, Lawn Bowls will be included and hosted at Osborne Park Bowling Club on Thursday 20th April 2023 with an optional training day on Wednesday 19th 2023. Osborne Park Bowling Club is very excited to host the Lawn Bowl element of the games from 8am to 5pm.

The Tournament will be in a singles-only round-robin format. Top Players advance to the semi-finals and finals. The length of singles games will be based on a point system.

The rules for entry can be found on the World Transplant Games website. Donor Families and living donors are also invited to take part in the selection of sporting events including Lawn Bowls.

Furthermore, the Games are asking for volunteers with a range of skills to help bring the games to life for the athletes, families and spectators.
