Officials Re-accreditation Courses to be held in December

Applications are invited for Re-accrediting Officials to attend an assessment session where Markers, Measurers and National Umpires can obtain their officiating re-accreditations.

MONDAY 11th DECEMBER 2023
Venue: Mosman Park Bowling Club
Start Time: 9.30am
Closing Date for applications: 1st December 2023

MONDAY 18th DECEMBER 2023
Venue: Manning Bowling Club
Start Time: 8.45am
Closing Date for applications: 8th December 2023

Applications must be received at Bowls WA by the closing date and will close when full. Each course is limited to 12 attendees.

Course Information

Applicants will be required to answer 5 Marker, 5 Measurer or 15 National Umpire questions as well as undergo a number of on-green practical marking and/or measuring assessments. There will also be a short seminar to cover changes to rules. The total time to complete the course is expected to 3 or 4 hours.

Note: This course includes measuring and candidates will be assessed on their physical ability to use measuring equipment that requires a steady hand and bending down at ground level.

All applicants are required to bring the Officiating Manual for Markers, Measurers & Umpires, which they received when they originally accredited. It is advisable that, prior to attending, applicants peruse the relevant chapters in the Manual.

All applicants are required to bring their own Laws of The Sport of Bowls, Crystal Mark 4th Edition April 2023. A limited number of Law books will be available at the session @ $12.00 each (exact cash only) or can be pre-purchased from Bowls WA.

Dress will be mufti (casual/sportswear) with approved bowls footwear.
