Women’s Countryweek Finals Day on Saturday

It is Finals Day for Women’s Countryweek on Saturday at the Cockburn Bowling Club.

It was a huge day of knockout singles, pairs, and fours for the ladies today with a 9.30 pm finish.

Saturday will see all three finals live-streamed through the Bowls WA Facebook page and streamer at https://streamer.com.au/league/bowls-wa starting at 9.30 am.

The first live-streamed final will be the Blue Ribbon Singles Final. York’s Carol Ashworth has won through and will take on Brunswick’s Linda Warburton.

While the Singles Final is being played we will have three Semi-Finals taking place

Pairs Semi-Final 1: Noelene Abe & June Pietrzak (Corrigin) v Kaye Burton & Angela Bracknell (Composite)

Pairs Semi-Final 2: Judith Allen & Jan McGinlay (Dandaragan) v Pat Belcher & Gloria Nelson (Denison)

Fours Semi-Final 2: Susan Armstrong, Patricia Martin, Marie Uren, and Patricia McErvale (Composite) versus Anne Blechynden, Ann Dunn, Lyn Rodda, and Luella Jenkins (Bunbury).

In the Fours Semi- Final 1 Kerry West, Adrienne Bellairs, Trish Wren, and Jeanette Hislop defeated Sharon Whana, Kerrie O’Halloran, Jennifer Ewen, and Karynne Robinson (Composite) and they await the winner of Semi-Final 2.

Next up on the live-stream will be the Pairs Final, approx 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Singles, and then Women’s Countryweek will conclude with the Fours Final
