Gold Coast to shine for Nationals 2024
Last year it was here in the sunny West, but from today we turn our attention to Club Tweed and Broadbeach Bowling Club as they play host to the Nationals 2024!
Plenty of the best from the West will be in action across a huge three weeks of bowls as our hopefuls take on the best from around our great nation for ultimate boasting rights.
Where can you watch all the action?
Bowls Australia will be live streaming plenty of the matches throughout, commencing tomorrow, Wednesday 9th October right through until the final bowl is played on Friday 25th October, all via the Bowls Australia Youtube channel.
You can keep an eye on Bowls Australia’s Facebook page to see daily posts of what and where you can watch.
PLEASE BEWARE of imitations potentially streaming on Facebook and Youtube. Bowls Australia’s coverage of the Nationals 2024 is completely free of charge and you ARE NOT required to put any credit card details in anywhere in order to view it. We know there are imitations out there looking to take advantage so please be careful.
Who is representing Western Australia?
Australian Champion of Champions Singles
(8th October – 10th October)

Kristina Krstic
Having had a remarkable year here in Western Australia Krstic steps up for her first time in this event. Krstic’s first match at 2.30pm WA time today is against NSW superstar Dawn Hayman, with the winner sure to take an advantage of an important win in the round robin format.
Men’s Event – no WA representative.

Australian Under 18s Championships
(9th October – 10th October)

Boys: Dante Burnham, Harper Wass, Edan Manifis, Callum Alberti, Jarrod Steele
Girls: Sophie Hays, Drew Gunson, Eleana Manifis, Sylvia Burgess, Telara Edwards (ACT)
Teams compete across all four disciplines with Singles and Fours played at the same time, and then Pairs and Triples disciplines. With 6 of the 8 boys singles players from last year returning to compete this year that event could certainly be a highlight, whereas the girls singles is full of players, all making their National singles debut, looking to make a name for themselves on the biggest stage.

Para Nationals
(9th October – 12th October)

WA team: Ashley Armstrong, Adam Eksanow, Neil Richardson, Travis Ellison, Eddie Gollan, David Russell, Jodie Nikolic, Diana Nixon
Teams compete in a variety of formats depending on their classifications, across Singles and Pairs disciplines. It is a very strong field across all events and the WA team will have learned plenty from last year’s super event at Warwick.
