Bowls WA Academy Blitz Day
Are you looking for an opportunity to strut your stuff in front of High-Performance Coaches and Selectors?
The Bowls WA Academy is holding a one-day Blitz Tournament on Sunday 15th December and are seeking nominations from players who believe they have something to offer WA State Teams in the future.
The Bowls WA Academy is the first step to get a taste of advanced coaching, not only from the Academy Coach but also from current and former state players who are invited to conduct mental and on-green skill sessions.
After nominations close, selected players will be put into small teams and appointed a coach/mentor. The day will be action-packed and consist of timed games covering all disciplines during the day.
After the Academy Blitz Day, the 2025 intake of Academy Members will be selected and announced during January 2025. There are only limited positions available in the Academy, and places will be hotly contested. All current Academy members have been invited and they will also be fighting to hold their position in the 2025 Bowls WA Academy Squad.
To nominate, please send a short email to pieter@bowlswa.com.au outlining in a couple of sentences your bowling experience and why you want to be a member of the Bowls WA Academy.
All nominations need to be received by 4.00 pm Thursday 28th November. Nominating does not guarantee selection in an Academy Blitz Team. All nominees will be informed of selection or non-selection by Tuesday 3rd December.
If you know someone who shows State Team potential, make sure they know the Academy Blitz Day is on and too get them to get their names in.
