2025 Women’s Inter Region Round Robin – 3 Weeks to Enter
UPDATE: There are three weeks left to enter the 2025 Women’s Metro Inter Region Round Robin that will be held at Leeming Bowling Club over the weekend of May 3th and 4th. You can enter on the nomination form at your club, or you can contact your region’s contact person directly with the contact information provided HERE. Which region are you in? Check the picture below showing all clubs within Eastern, Northern, South Coastal, and Southern regions.
The Women’s Metro Inter Region Round Robin is a prestigious annual event that has been running for close to twenty years. Also known as the IRRR, 96 metro female players gather together from four metro regions – 24 players from Eastern, Northern, South Coastal, Southern regions – to compete against each other in round robin style in a bid to win the annual IRRR title on the perpetual trophy.
There are morning and afternoon games on the first day, and then on the second day there is a final morning game. At lunch the winning region of the IRRR is announced along with players selected for the All Star game. It is an added bonus to win the All Star title as well as the IRRR title.
What is the All Star title? Well, the eight best performed players from each region are selected to play in the “All Star Game” on the Sunday afternoon as a higher level IRRR competition with shorter games.

How does a player register to play in the IRRR? Event information is sent to each club in the metro area where we ask that these documents be printed and posted where players can see the sign up. You are asked to put your points into the nomination form as all levels of female bowlers are selected for this event.
In 2025 the IRRR is being hosted by Southern Region at Leeming Bowling Club over the weekend of May 3rd & 4th. Club documents have been sent out so you should have a printed nomination sheet on your club notice board to sign up – if it is not there you can follow up with the club secretary or print out and respond personally to the documents linked above. The deadline for nominations is Friday 4th April.
