Women’s Metro v Country 2025 Rink Draws and Women’s Country Forum Information.

The Women’s Metropolitan versus Country event will be held at the Osborne Park Bowling Club this year on Sunday, March 30th. As the traditional lead into Women’s Country Week, it promises to be a great matchup with plenty on the line, not only for bragging rights to the winners but also for those players pushing for Open and Over 60’s State Squad selection. After consultation with Country representatives at the recent Inter Zone Round Robin Fours at Kalgoorlie, this year the event will start at 3.00 pm with 2.45 pm trial ends.

The Country players will line up in their zone uniforms, while metro players are requested to wear their club uniforms.

As well as the match at 3.00 pm, Bowls WA will also be conducting a Women’s Country Forum starting at 1.00 pm at Osborne Park Bowling Club. With a number of Bowls WA Officials on hand to answer questions, including Bowls WA President Mr Doug Kelly and Bowls WA CEO Mr Ken Pride, any agenda items must first be sent to your League for collation. Leagues will then pass items onto Bowls WA for the meeting agenda. All country ladies are welcome to come and join in the discussion of issues affecting Women’s Country Bowls.

The Osborne Park kitchen will be open for lunch orders from midday, so come and enjoy the atmosphere the day before Women’s Country Week gets underway.
