All the winners from a glittering Awards Night

by Clive Adams on May 24, 2025

The Bowls WA Awards Night, proudly sponsored by Juniper, has concluded with another outstanding event held at Perth’s most iconic sporting venue, Optus Stadium.

The event commenced with a celebration of all the fantastic on-green performances from WA players across the last 12 months, with a special tribute for Laura Butler and Roma Dunn, our two Australian Open Singles Champions, albeit nearly 20 years apart. Footage from 2005 when Roma won the inaugural Australian Open Women’s Singles title had the crowd in awe, before Laura’s outstanding performance to defeat World Number 1 Kelsey Cottrell last year, took everyone’s attention.

Of course, the Awards Night is not all about on-green performances, as we saw Club Officials and Volunteers, the lifeblood of our sport, acknowledged, as well as the Metropolitan and Country Clubs of the Year.

Kristina Krstic recorded her fifth Connie Hicks Brooch award, now just one short of legend Roma’s 6 medal wins, while Blake Nairn joined a select bunch in winning his third Rosenthal Medal.

Here’s all the winners from an amazing night, with photos available on the Bowls WA Facebook page…
