Featherby and Warburton go for glory
While WA’s run at an Australian open women’s fours title ended this morning with Laura Butler, and her team of Chloe Stewart, Rebecca Lord and Olivia Cartwright claiming a well earned silver against Kelsey Cottrell’s crew, our hopes of a title are still alive with WA stars Lisa Featherby and Linda Warburton booking themselves a place in tomorrow morning’s Women’s Over 60’s Pairs final against Queensland’s Adele Pershouse and Tracy Foster.
All four players in the final are well credentialled with plenty of accolades to their name – in fact Featherby and Warburton made it to the quarter finals of the women’s fours this week, with Featherby also progressing to the quarters of the singles.
Tomorrow’s final will be live streamed on Bowls Australia’s Youtube channel from the very early WA time of 6.30am.
